As part of the policy of NAC Kazatomprom JSC on the use of renewable energy sources, Baiken-U LLP, it was decided to build a SES with a capacity of 301.5 kW.
For the construction of SES in 2013, domestic solar panels were purchased from Astana Solar LLP in the amount of 166,077,500 tenge.
In September 2015, the facility was commissioned. The connection to the general network was made through the 0.4 kV line at the KTPN of the shift camp.
In 2015, the total power generation amounted to 84.61 MW * hour.
At the moment, all the generated electricity is sent to service the camp, which is about 10% of the electricity consumed in the camp.
