The Central Asian BAT Bureau to be established on the basis of NJSC International Green Technologies and Investment Projects Center
NJSC IGTIPC signed a Cooperation Agreement with Central Asia Regional Environmental Center (CAREC) in the framework of the fourth Central Asian Climate Change Conference (CACCC-2021).
The main areas of cooperation will be:
Assistance in establishment of the Central Asian BAT Bureau within the framework of the Green Bridge Partnership Program on the basis of NJSC IGTIPC;
assistance in transition to a green economy;
green financing attraction;
strengthening international cooperation.
Within the framework of the Agreement, signed by Chingiz Kanapyanov, independent director of the IGTIPC Board of Directors, and Zafar Makhmudov, CAREC Executive Director, information and knowledge will be exchanged, including provision of reports on climate and environmental issues.
The document implies assistance in the establishment of “green” technologies Central Asian Regional Climate Hub (CA Climate Hub) in Kazakhstan on the basis of IGTIPC in order to exchange of experience and best practices of transition to “green" technologies and the development of innovative entrepreneurship.
The Sides intend to unite efforts and resources to promote and implement initiatives, IGTIPC projects on "green" technologies and best available techniques, as well as CAREC projects in such areas as climate change and sustainable energy, environmental and water resources management in Central Asian countries.
Cooperation will also be carried out within the framework of joint projects implementation in the field of low-carbon development and climate change in Kazakhstan and in the countries of Central Asia.
